Waiting for the traffic light to change on Michigan Avenue in Chicago, I noticed how fallen leaves were floating-along in the water by the curb. Thirty other people standing around me only saw a traffic light.  I quickly snapped the image....."Asphalt Pond."

I've read quite a few artist statements in trying to write my own.

The conclusion that I came to was that artist statements are the cure for insomnia. Some were intended to be uplifting; others were too serious for their own good; while still even more were so long that I just gave up.

So here's mine:

"Fine art photography should stimulate both the eye and the intellect...I hope you agree."
